The aim of DAM4CO₂ is to develop a novel membrane technology, for the simultaneous CO₂ separation and its photocatalytic conversion to C4+ molecules, as renewable fuels. DAM4CO₂ will overcome the conventional membrane technologies by developing double active membranes (DAMs) with a durable and highly selective gas separation layer and a photocatalytic layer able to simultaneously combine in one pot reverse water gas shift (RWGS) and Fisher-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) to obtain C4+ molecules.

The project objectives are:demonstrate how Service Tools from atmospheric Research Infrastructures (RIs) can be enhanced to better address the challenges and societal needs concerning air quality (AQ) in European cities and industrial hotspots; respond to the urgent needs to reduce air pollution across EU by providing enhanced AQ observations in support of advanced AQ policy assessment; develop and enhance synergies between AQ Monitoring Networks and atmospheric RIs combining advanced science knowledge and innovative technologies to develop pilot STs.

ACTRIS is a pan-European research infrastructure producing high-quality data and information on short-lived atmospheric constituents and on the processes leading to the variability of these constituents in natural and controlled atmospheres. ACTRIS serves a vast community of users in answering to many societal and environmental challenges, such as air quality, health, sustainability and climate change. ACTRIS is composed of Observational and Exploratory Platforms, Topical Centres, Data Centre, and Head Office that is coordinating the ACTRIS activities.

The ambition of ATMO-ACCESS is to address the needs for developing sustainable solutions based on the principles of open access and to develop recommendations for management and funding for efficient and effective access provision suited to distributed atmospheric RIs.

Copernicus is the Earth observation component of the European Union’s space programme. The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) has been appointed by the European Commission with funding from the EU to operate the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service and the Copernicus Climate Change Service on its behalf. Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis (IMAA) of the National Research Council (CNR) has been contracted by ECMWF to implement the C3S2 311 Lot2 “Comprehensive Upper-Air, Baseline and Reference in situ observations”, which valorises the effort spent in Cop1 within the C3S 311a Lot3 (“Access to observations from baseline and reference networks”) and C3S 311c Lot2 (“Historic In Situ Upper Air Database”) contracts.

The project is a pilot for the implementation of provision in NRT of profiles processed in a centralized, traceable way and with data quality control (Level2 -6months delay).

A support action for national and regional authorities to advance their governance structures and strengthen dedicated support for cities to achieve the climate-neutral Cities Mission. CapaCITIES coordinates actions across climate neutral city initiatives in Europe in order to exploit synergies between them and align efforts towards the goals of the mission including city networks, the UAEU partnerships, the CoR, and others.

Sand and dust storms (SDS) are an important threat to health, environment and economy in many countries. DustClim project makes a major step forward in the way SDS affects society by producing an advanced dust regional model reanalysis for Northern Africa, Middle East and Europe and by developing dust-related services tailored to specific socio-economic sectors.

PrioritEE PLUS aims to capitalize on the experience of the PrioritEE project and improve, through transnational cooperation, the effectiveness of local policies on sustainable energy use, strengthening the capacities of public authorities and stakeholders in the evaluation, definition and adoption of analytical tools for increasing energy efficiency of public buildings. In particular, a structured training and transferring process is carried out for the use of the Decision Making Support Tool – DST in the territories of the partners’ MED area.
